Bantwal: District level chess tournament held for schools

Bantwal, Jul 30: The district level chess tournaments for primary and high schools for the year 2022-23 were held under the aegis of Polali Rajarajeshwari government high school at Polali Ramakrishna Tapovana.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik who inaugurated the tournaments said that Chess makes children disciplined. “Students should show their talents and shine on a national level,” he said.

Kariangala gram panchayat president Chandrahas Pallipadi presided over the programme. Education officer Jnanesh P, district physical education officer Bhuvanesh, taluk physical education inspector Vishnu Hebbar and Ravi Shanker, taluk education grate association president Jattappa Gowda, Bantwal taluk co teachers association secretary Ranjitha, taluk education coordinator Sujatha and Prathima, SDMC president Venkatesh Navuda and others were present. School head Radhakrishna Bhat K welcomed. Janet Lobo compered the programme. Teacher Uma rendered the vote of thanks.
