Bantwal, Jul 30: Heavy rain damaged a house at Thumbe on Saturday July 30.

The rear wall of the house belonging to Mudalme Nagappa Poojary, Thumbe collapsed. Fortunately as all were sleeping, there were no injuries.

Rain water entered the house belonging to Mundaje Ashwin, Kallige grama causing huge loss.

A small bridge constructed across a water drain by the municipality at Kamerekodu, Modankap, Bantwal Muda gram has collapsed in the rain at night. The boundary wall of Josphene D’Souza, former president of the municipality, has also fallen and the nearby water tank is about to collapse, it is said.

    They should immediately go out of house.There is electricity connection is there switch off and go out andsave your life.Safety is not there.These houses are built like children building in sand.
