Mangaluru: Objectionable social media posts regarding murders in dist - 12 more cases filed

Mangaluru, Aug 1: Another 12 cases have been filed in CEN police station against people who have posted objectionable posts on social media with regards to the recent murder that took place in the city.

Five cases were earlier filed under Sec 66(c)IT act and IPC 153(a) and 505(2).

According to the police, information is available about many people discussing on the recent killing that has taken place in Mangaluru city on social media including WhatsApp groups. 

Additional monitoring is being done on social media like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram, Messenger and other media. Suitable action is being taken against those who are posting objectionable messages and comments.
