Kaup, Aug 2: Govardhan Bhat, resident of Majoor near here bathed a live cobra, which is getting treated at his house, with milk and lighted the lamp on the occasion of Nagara Panchami.

Govardhan Bhat is an electrician by profession and also does catering business. He brings cobras which lie on the national highway, seriously injured after coming under vehicles, gives them suitable medical treatment and released them back to the forest. It is his hobby.

Govardhan Bhat also rushes to any spot if he gets a call that a snake in injured. He does not expect anything in return for his service. He is also called as doctor of snakes.
