Mangaluru: Free fatty liver scan, hepatitis 'B' & 'C' screening held at SCS Hospital

Mangaluru, Aug 3: Free fatty liver (fibro scan) and hepatitis 'B' & 'C' screening camp was conducted successfully by SCS Hospital, for the police department, bank employees and the general public on July
31.

The doctors and the medical team of SCS Hospital briefed the police personnel and public regarding the hazards of fatty liver disease if left untreated which leads to severe liver damage including cirrhosis. Liver Elastography facility is available to assess liver accurately.

As many as 105 members benefited from this free camp. The above facilities are available to the general public at the SCS Hospital (SCS Institute for Gastrointestinal & Liver Disorders) throughout the year.
