Lalbagh I-Day Flower Show from Aug 5 to 15

Bengaluru, Aug 3: The popular annual flower show being held annually at the Lalbagh Botanical Garden in Bengaluru will be held from August 5 to 15.

The flower show jointly held by the State Horticultural Department, Mysore Udyana Kala Sangha and Lalbagh annually could not be held during the last two years on account of the Covid pandemic.

However, this year’s annual show being held to mark the 75th Independence Day Amrut Mahotsav is also named after Karnataka Ratna Dr Raj Kumar and his son Punith Raj Kumar.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will be inaugurating the flower show at the Labagh glass house on August 5 at 11 am. Horticulture Minister Muniratna and Chikpet BJP MLA Uday Garudachar will be chief guests.

Kannada film actor Tara Anuradha will be inaugurating an exhibition of Ikebana vegetable sculpture and Bonsai plants on August 6 at 1 pm.
