Mangaluru, Aug 8: Muslim Ikyatha Vedike has warned of a massive protest if state government fails to probe three murder cases in the right manner so that truth will be revealed within the next 10 days.

Addressing media here on Monday August 8, Khatib Badriya Jumma masjid Krishnapura, Umar Farooq said, “we condemn the murder of Fazil, Praveen and Masood and also condemn the biased move of the state government while distributing compensation and Chief Minister visiting the houses of the deceased. While the Praveen murder case has been handed over to NIA, government should have handed over all three murder cases to the NIA."

"With regard to Fazil murder case, there is no trace of the conspirators or the reason behind targeting Fazil and the people who helped the accused for shelter. There seems to be a link between the three murders, we demand probe of all three murders in a proper manner so that truth will be known to the public within 10 days of time, or else massive protests will be held in Surathkal," said legal advisor Umar Farooq.

Fazil’s father alleged that the probe in the murder case has not been done in the right way, as the accused was roaming freely in Police station without any fear. “There are a lot of questions to be answered and also many more arrests that need to be made who are involved in the murder,” he said.

Khatib Mohiudeen Jumma Masjid Chokkabettu Aziz Darami, President Badriya Jumma Masjid Krishnapura B M Mumtaz Ali, President Muslim Ikyatha Vedike Surathkal zone Ashraf Badriya and others were present.
