M'lore: Mandd Sobhann Announces Talent Camps for Children in City, Mumbai, Thane

Mangalore, Apr 12: ‘Mandd Sobhann’, the city-based organization promoting Konkani and its distinct culture worldwide, will organize a residential talent camp for children in dance, acting, and singing at Kalaangann from Monday April 25 to Sunday May 1. 

The entrance fee is Rs 500 (with concession to those who cannot afford it).

All those who are interested in participating can enrol by calling 0824-2232239 / 2230489.

The selection will be held at 10.00 am on Wednesday April 20 at Kalaangann.

The participants are advised to bring the entry fees.  They will have a golden opportunity to exhibit their talent in the 113th monthly theatre on Sunday May 1.

Mandd Sobhann Gurkar Eric Ozario will be the director of the camp and musician, along with John Permannur (drama), Merula Gibson / Naach Sobhann (dance), Rony Crasta (Konkani), Dilon Caldera, Lavita and Lenoy Lobo (assistant musician), and Rony Lobo (physical training).

Mandd Sobhann will also organize a children’s camp and workshop on Vovyo/Verse under the aegis of St Joseph’s Konkani Welfare Association Mira Road ® at Anubhav Centre, Mira Road, Mumbai, from Monday 1 to Sunday 17.  

The resource persons are Gurkar Eric Ozario (director, music, and Konkani), Ivan D’Silva (drama), Snehal / Anil Spinoza (dance), Dillon Caldera (music assistant), and Irene Rebello (Vovyo – Mira Road).

Under the aegis of Vasai Konkani Welfare Association ®, Mandd Sobhaann will organize ‘Daiz Camp – 2011’ from Friday June 3 to Saturday June 11 at St John’s Engineering College, Palghar, in Thane district.  The camp participants will get an opportunity to exhibit their talent during the concluding ceremony.
