Mangaluru, Aug 15: The department of economics, St Agnes College (Autonomous), organized a day-long training for banking exam programme on August 14.
The event started with invoking God's presence through a prayer.
Dr Manjushree Shetty, head, department of economics welcomed Dr Sharan Kumar Shetty, the chief guest of the programme, K Govind Bhar, Guest of honour, and Sr Dr M Venissa AC., the principal, St Agnes College with flowery words. It was followed by lighting of a lamp to energise the session with positive energy.
Dr Sharan Kumar Shetty delivered an informative speech on the importance of the banking sector and gave insight on its working. He appreciated the college for conducting such enlightening sessions.
Dr K Govind Bhat gave words of encouragement. He stated the importance of soft skills and constant perseverance in life. Mr Bhat mentioned the need of being hardworking and diligent while preparing for such exams.
Principal Dr Sr Maria. Venissa AC reminisced about the past when St Agnes College conducted coaching classes for banking exams. She asked the students to make full use of this session and work towards success.
Mahitha Kumari, assistant professor, department of economics, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the success of the event.
