Grandparents day held at St Marys English medium school, Kannarpady

Udupi, Aug 30: The students of the Kindergarten section of St Mary’s English Medium School celebrated Grandparents Day on August 26 in Fr J.P Tauro Hall.

The program began by invocation by UKG students, followed by a welcome dance.

Bharathi Kunder anchored the program. Jiyon Rio Rodrigues and Ayesha Falaq of UKG ‘A’ welcomed the gathering. The eldest couple Dayanand Bangera and Sarasu Bangera were the guests of honor.

The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Rajasree Nayak, the coordinator of Kindergarten section introduced the guests to the audience. Jhaswin Shetty and Dishani Pai of UKG ‘B’ spoke about the importance of the day.

A meaningful action song was performed by toddlers of LKG. The fun filled games were conducted by Pooja Prasad and all grandparents actively participated in the games. Chief guest Sarasu Bangera addressed the students and grandparents appreciated the school for organizing this event.

Correspondent Fr Charles Menezes, in his message, emphasized the decisive role of grandparents in one’s lives. Mohammed Zaif and Inchara Udupa of UKG ‘C’ proposed a vote of thanks. Principal Fr Johnson Sequeira and vice principal Rita Quadros were present on the occasion.
