Mangaluru: Water released from Biliyur dam to AMR to ensure rural water supply

Mangaluru, Apr 18: Deputy commissioner (DC) Mullai Muhilan announced on Thursday April 18 that water has been released from Biliyur dam to AMR dam to ensure water availability for rural water supply schemes.

In light of this, the usage of water from AMR dam for industrial and agricultural purposes has been temporarily banned.

The DC has urged all citizens to use water judiciously during this period.

Additionally, industries and farmers are requested to extend their fullest cooperation to ensure drinking water availability until the arrival of the monsoon season.
