Mangaluru, Nov 1: The Karnataka Rajyotsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm on November 1, at St Aloysius ITI campus. The inauguration of SSLC coaching classes & NIOS certificate distribution programme was held.
The programme was presided over by Fr John D’Souza SJ - director of the institution. Sudhir Salian, sales manager Ecolab, Dubai, and an alumnus was the chief guest for the programme. Dr Melwyn D’Cunha SJ, pro vice chancellor, St Aloysius Deemed to be University was the guest of honour for the programme.
Roshan D’Souza - principal, Alwyn Menezes - vice principal, Noel Lobo and Wilson N - training officers, Robin Vas – convener of the programme, Rivan D’Souza - president, student council; staff and students were present.























Fr John D’Souza SJ - director hoisted the national flag, followed by singing of the national anthem. The Karnataka State Flag was then hoisted by principal, Roshan D’Souza, followed by singing of the State Anthem.
The programme began with a morning assembly which was led by mechanic motor vehicle 2nd year students. Ramya, JTO welcomed the gathering.
Students with 100% attendance were felicitated which was led by Noel Lobo, training officer.
Vanditha Rego, JTO proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Padmavathi, JTO.
Singing competitions were organised on the theme of Karnataka Rajyotsava, where students from various trades displayed their artistic talents and received great appreciation from the audience. The competition was judged by Alwyn Pais and Chaithra.
A cleanliness drive was also conducted by all students of the different trades in the campus premises. The inauguration of SSLC coaching classes & NIOS certificate distribution programme commenced with a prayer song led by electronics mechanic students.
Ravi, convener of the programme welcomed the gathering. A song was sung by 1st year students of electronics mechanic trade.
The inauguration of SSLC coaching classes was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. The NIOS certificates were distributed to the students who have passed the II PUC exam through NIOS. A dance was performed by 1st year students of electronics mechanic trade.
Dr Melwyn D’Cunha SJ spoke a few words saying, “First of all, always be happy in your life. Happiness keeps our mind fresh and helps us face every challenge with a smile. Second, take interest in your studies. When we learn with curiosity and dedication, success automatically follows. Third, think slowly and steadily. Never rush into decisions calm thinking leads to better results. And lastly, kindness is an important part of education. Being kind to others makes our learning complete and meaningful.”
In his presidential address Fr John D’Souza SJ said that, “Our institution has been providing SSLC coaching along with skill training to ensure the overall development of our students. We believe education is not just about passing exams but about building discipline, good habits, and responsibility. Students are encouraged to complete their tasks on time, avoid bad habits, and respect their teachers who work tirelessly for their success. At the same time, parents play a vital role in supporting and motivating their children throughout this journey. Let us continue to work together students, teachers, and parents to achieve excellence in both education and character.”

Anna Rujina, a 1st year electronics mechanic student proposed the vote of thanks. Nidheesh, a 1st year electronics mechanic student compered the programme.
