Muscat, Feb 18: The Muscat United Pangalites organized a day-long family get-together recently at a farm house in Barkha. The newly elected committee for the current year consisting of Melwin Menezes as the president, Vinod D’costa as vice-president, Shaila Machado as secretary and Steevan as treasurer organized the first function for this year.
The eventful day commenced when Melwin Menezes welcomed the gathering. It was followed by a prayer by Lavina D’sa who also conducted various games like bombing the city and musical chairs for the children.
The adults enjoyed the games like 'paper cricket', 'best pork recipe reciters', 'fastest mobile reader' and various other spot prizes. The live barbecue which was specially prepared by all the members of the team was enjoyed by all.
There were also some live impromptu dance performances presented by talented artists. A traditional lunch comprising of rice, chicken sukka, bimbla dal and salad was home cooked by the Pangalites. It was very well relished by all the people at the get-together. The grand housie was conducted by Terence D’souza. The children also had a lot of fun at the swimming pool.
The get-together concluded with a prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the games, return gifts were also arranged all the children.
The pleasant weather that prevailed during the day added to the fun. The president and members are looking forward to the next progamme on the calendar which would be the Easter party.
