Bangalore, Mar 8: Aam Aadmi Party founder and former CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal could face massive criticism from opposition parties as well as people over his latest move of raising funds in Bangalore.
Fashioned after a US style of fund raising programme, one can have an opportunity to dine with Kejriwal and ask him questions, for a payment of Rs 20,000! This means, an ordinary person (aam aadmi) cannot have dinner with Kejriwal and ask questions, simply because he cannot afford to pay Rs 20,000.
The dinner with Kejriwal will be organised in Bangalore on March 15. IT entrepreneur V Balakrishnan who recently joined AAP has organised this dinner for raising funds for Lok Sabha polls. It is said that about 200 people are expected to dine with Kejriwal, and the programme is expected to raise Rs 40 lac.
On Friday, Kejriwal came under attack for using chartered flight for travelling from Jaipur to New Delhi. A few weeks back Kejriwal had criticised BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi for flying by chartered flight sponsored by Reliance's Mukesh Ambani. However, Kejriwal clarified that his chartered flight was arranged by an organiser in Jaipur who invited Kejriwal for the function.
Both the above incidents could indicate that Kejriwal's Aam Admi Party is not likely to remain a party for ordinary people, and that it could join the bandwagons of BJP, Congress and other political parties soon.
