Mangalore: Star-studded Show at First Anniversary of Alukkas

Mangalore, Nov 19: Alukkas Jewellers on Sunday celebrated their first anniversary in Mangalore with a gala event.

On Nehru Maidan a spectacular show of music, dance and song was organized where several stars came to the stage to perform.





The event was inaugurated by deputy commissioner Maheshwar Rao. Mangalore MLA N Yogish Bhat, Suratkal MLA J Krishna Palemar, ZP CEO Mamata Gatti and several others were present. Shri Rajashekharandaji and Fr Jose Valiyaparambil were the chief guests.





The star attraction was actor cum music director Guru Kiran. Film stars Anusha, Anjaleela Shetty and Archana presented their dances.

Social concern and commitment:

As a significant step, which may inspire other corporate houses to follow them, Alukkas showed their social commitment and concern by distributing useful things to needy members of the society.

As part of their annual programme to be followed in future also, wheelchairs were handed over by DC Maheshwar Rao, sewing machines by ZP president Mamata Gatti, and walking sticks by Suratkal MLA J Krishna Palemar. Mangalore MLA Yogish Bhat lauded the social concern shown by Alukkas.

John Alukkas and Paul Alukkas were also present.  General manager P P Jose said Alukkas were grateful to the people of Dakshina Kannada for their excellent patronage during the past year, in acknowledgement of which, the firm had decided to share the joy and celebration with the people.

Corporate manager Litto Davis, PRO Jayaram, manager Rijo Thomas and others also were present.
