The prohibitory orders are in force under the limits of all police stations like Konaje, Ullal, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru rural, Bunder, Barke, Kadri and others, except Panambur.
Though DCP Shantharaju did not specify the reason for imposing the prohibitory orders, he said that it has been done as precautionary measure to maintain law and order.
Sources also said an organization had planned to carry out a rally on Friday but had been denied permission, and there was apprehension that it would go ahead with the rally without the permit. Hence, as a precautionary step, the prohibitory orders have been issued, sources revealed.
