Mangaluru, May 2: Members of the various organizations under the banner 'Federation of Patriotic Associations' along with the family of Vinayak Baliga staged a solidarity march from Vinayak Baliga's house near PVS Kalakunj to police commissioner's office in city on Monday, May 2.

Deceased Baliga's father Ganesh Baliga handed over the Indian flag to rationalist Prof Narendra Nayak and launched the march. The march later halted in front of Venkataramana temple where Narendra Nayak addressed the gathered.

Nayak said "Shame on Mangaluru police. You know where Dawood Ibrahim is and you also know the whereabouts of other underworld dons. But you do not know where Naresh Shenoy is. Recently he had filed an application for the anticipatory bail and you could not arrest him."

"If anyone has slapped some cases against you challenge him in the court and not kill him. We all need to question the government that which are the hidden powers behind the murder. Until the conspirers get arrested the truth cannot be revealed. But since a month the justice has been denied and delayed. We will not deter from the protests until we get the justice. Today it is in Mangaluru, it will be in front of the town hall in Bengaluru on May 6 and in the coming days we will also stage a protest in New Delhi,” Nayak added.

"Baliga always worked for the GSB community. Still there are only few people who have joined us. It is the question of human's life. He was on his way to the temple when he was murdered. He did not reach the temple but we have come to the temple on behalf of him. I address all the ones hiding in their houses to come and join us." Nayak concluded.

Baliga's sister Usha Shenoy said "Since childhood we always believed that Venkataramana God is the one who fulfills the desires of the devotees. Dear God you are our saviour and you must give justice to us."

Baliga's other sister Anuradha Baliga said "Some people still say that he asked for money but he never did that. God please give us justice. Motivate people to arrest the murders of Vinayak."

DYFI state president Muneer Katipalla, president of Nagarika Seva Trust Somanatha Nayak, corporator Dayanand Shetty, Baliga's sister Sheetal and others were present.

Just look at the turn out of people for this peaceful March? And if vhp bd rss holds Hindu samajotsava then entire mangalore streets will be flooded with people and safron color. But when their own family member is deceitfully murdered for holding up truth, none turns out to give justice.

Vinayaka baliga sought justice for a public cause but the public today letting him down. Police hands are really tied down by politicians at the highest levels of modibrigade patrons. Police are helpless.

Where is chakravarty soolibele now? He groomed people in modi brigade by giving big big sermons? He floated yuva brigade and vanished. Look what yuva brigade leaders do. They are turning out to be plotters n murderers of true patriotic Indians. One should not generalise but symptoms clearly show targeting of baliga type people. we eagerly wait for sulibele speech on nationalism n patriotism. let's watch whether he adds names like baliga in speeches. Baliga is a young dynamic soldier who fought war in modern times.

Shouting bharat mata ki jai in public is for either votes or for money. Fooling public with deshbhakti and doing unlawful business.

Those in builders lobby may not join fight for justice to baliga fly, but what happened to bjp bd vhp srs sanathan hjv etc? Why are they not coming out in open? Temple-mutt lobby is behind such mystified silence? Hindu samojotsava witnesses spontaneous participation from people but not in baliga case. Hypocrisy is the main reason for people from saffron brigade not protesting? Prof. Narendra nayak truly a great soul. He is the only vocal voice for baliga fly. Great man.

Why all the time you people drag bjp bd vhp srs to the issues. Where is the police department? What is the government is doing in this case. Pressurize the government to give the justice. Every organization is work under their agenda. We cant force them.

The Lawyer who represented Nari Shenoy in the Court to submit his bail application should be knowing the exact place where Nari is hiding.
So this Lawyer should be pressurized to disclose the hiding place of Nari.

It was good to see people of Mangalore exercising their protest in a true democratic way. A True reflection of cultured society. Violence begets more violence. It's time the cops act and nab the accused to show the citizens that the rule of the law is still effective and that they are above political pressure.

A time has come to take the matter further due to complete failure of law enforcement department.

I would request the organisers to report to UN,Human right watch and so on.

If an accuse can file bail in his absence,it does prove that some political outfit, lawyers lobby,Police is acting behind.
