Bengaluru, May 4 (DHNS): Home Minister and KPCC President G Parameshwara on Tuesday said he had not been summoned by the party high command for any leadership change. He added Siddaramaiah would be projected as ‘dalit’ chief minister as he had launched several schemes for the welfare of the community.
Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Parameshwara said he need not comment every time when talk of a dalit chief minister surfaces in the party. On the government making political appointments to the post of directors in boards and corporations, Parameshwara said in some cases, more appointments had been made than positions available and the anomaly would be set right soon.
He said he would speak to the chief minister and consult the high command on the extension of term of chairpersons of boards and corporations.
Referring to the hike in property tax by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, Parameshwara said that it was Taxation and Finance Committee of the Palike which recommended the hike and the BJP was unnecessarily making a political issue out of it.
