He also informed that nearly 24 acres of land has been approved to set up state marine police institute at Kodibengre.

"Hasta Shilpa Heritage Village, Manipal is expected to open for people from this week. There will be shows in the mornings and evenings.  Vijaynath Shenoy, founder and secretary is the in-charge and 15 people can be allowed inside at a time.”

Regarding sand mining, DC R Vishal said, “The district authority has issued permits for 63 sand mining permit holders for CRZ.”

Sandy has rightly pointed that -this is the age of electronic/Google . World is moving very fast and computer and electronic gadgets are used every where. We say save trees and stick to old ideas of books. Instead of books, it is better to have library with computers with big screens (14" to 17")and head phones so that people can search and read all books on net. This will save time and money. In future, people do not have time to take books for home reading. So think before investing on books which spoils very fast due to book worms and humid weather. Also maintenance costs are more. I appreciate "hasta Shilpa "promotion and educate more people in this field of art.

Library does not equate to book alone. Just by using finger tips, one can browse news paper/ebooks/emagazines etc of any country, any language.
if one things library as a place holder of books alone - I guess smart phone google baba may provide more details. BTW, library can be a place where old out of print books are also available, which one may not find on internet. Without proper citation, accepting the views that are available on net could pose danger to ones knowledge. Hoep it helps.
