Udupi, May 7: Controversial Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Muthalik on Saturday May 7 hit out at the Congress state government for time and again banning him and said he has urged Paryaya Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math to speak to the chief minister and the home minister on his behalf.
Speaking to reporters during his visit to Shree Krishna Math here, Muthalik said, "The state government is torturing me and Sri Rama Sene. In just two months, my programmes have been banned in eight places across the state.
"To ban me is equal to banning Hindutva and patriotism. Hence I have urged Pejawar Swamiji to talk to the chief minister and home minister and urge them not to ban me," he added.
He further added, "There is severe drought throughout the state. Without water, farmers are being forced to contemplate selling their land. Hence Maths should come forward to look after their cattle till the drought situation improves. I have urged Pejawar Swamiji to instruct all the Maths accordingly."
Earlier, Muthalik met Pejawar Swamiji and sought his blessings.
