NEW DELHI, Jul 27: Another live bomb was defused by police in Gujarat on Sunday, just hours after a bomb was defused by the bomb disposal squad in Ahmedabad’s Amraiwadi area.

The box was found abandoned near Nupur hospital in the New Citylight area, police said.

The substance found from the box has been sent to the forensic science laboratory for testing, police added.

Earlier, a bomb was found lying in a garbage can near Hatkeshwar in the Amraiwadi area, just 15 hours after a series of blasts rocked Ahmedabad on Saturday.

"The bomb squad was called in as soon as we got the information of a live bomb in the area. The squad has successfully defused the bomb in Amraiwadi," police inspector P R Gehalot said.
