New Delhi, Nov 16 (Agencies) : A 21-year-old dancer turned snatcher was arrested by the Delhi Police from Govindpuri area in Southeast Delhi on Thursday for allegedly snatching money from an auto driver. Deputy Commissioner of Police Chinmoy Biswal told Hindustan Times that on Wednesday night, while an auto driver, identified as Rahul, was counting his cash while waiting for riders, Gill allegedly snatched Rahul’s wallet and fled from the spot.

Gill was, however, chased by a police team patrolling nearby and held after Rahul sounded the alarm. Cash worth Rs 1,900 was recovered from the wallet and Gill’s mobile phone was seized.

Gill revealed at the time of interrogation that he started stealing money in order to make easy money since he had three girlfriends.
