Bharat Heavy Electricals Bags Rs.170 crore Deal


New Delhi, June 29 (IANS): State-run power equipment manufacturer Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged an order worth Rs.170 crore from Chennai Petroleum Corp (CPC) to set up a gas turbine at its Manali refinery.

BHEL will develop 20 MW co-generation power plant at CPC's Manali refinery. The plant would provide heating water and power for an industrial site and the Manali town, a BHEL statement said.

The project would also help the refinery meet its additional power and steam requirements, it added.
