Anurag's younger brother Arun Dhumal elected HPCA chief


Dharamsala, Sep 28 (IANS): Arun Dhumal, the younger brother of former BCCI President and current Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur, was on Friday elected unopposed as the President of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA).

In the annual general meeting of HPCA on Friday, The Dhumal-led panel met no opposition. Sumit Sharma became the new Secretary of HPCA.

While the state associations' elections are on and must finish by October 4, the electoral officer of the BCCI on Thursday invited the full members of the board to submit applications to have their respective representatives included in the electoral roll for the polls to be held during the annual general meeting of the board on October 23.

While the BCCI elections will be held on October 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the results will be declared at 3 p.m. As per the notice, the posts for which the BCCI elections will be held include office bearers of the BCCI, one member of the Apex Council and two members of the Governing Council.
