London, May 8 (IANS) Actor Hugh Grant is set to play a captain in a new animated 3D pirate movie that also stars Salma Hayek and Jeremy Piven.
Grant will play a captain who battles it out with his bitter high-sea rivals, voiced by Piven and Hayek, to win the much coveted pirate of the year award in the film.
The movie is set for release next year, reports dailystar.co.uk.
"I'm so grateful to the entire cast for their talent and energy. The characters that they've created fill the screen with life and fun. As the Pirate Captain, Hugh Grant has given a stand-out performance... only Hugh could anchor this story of love, loyalty, greed, and nautical high-jinks," said producer Peter Lord.
Martin Freeman, David Tennant, Imelda Staunton, Russell Tovey and Ashley Jensen have also signed up to voice characters in "The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists".
