London, May 11 (IANS) Actor Johnny Depp's musical ambitions are on a new high as he is writing songs with Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.

Depp began his career as a musician before turning to acting. He recently recorded with the band Babybird and also directed one of their videos, reports dailystar.co.uk.

"We've been hanging out here and there. He's someone I've admired greatly for such a long time. The idea of writing songs with him is a dream come true," Depp told news show Extra.
