RAJAHMUNDRY, May 12 (Agencies): Noted cine actress and Rampur MP Jayaprada was honoured with Lalitha Kala Natana Mayuri title by T Subbarami Reddy Lalitha Kala Parishat at a function held at Sri Venkateswara Anam Kala Kendram on Wednesday night.
The Kala Parishat also presented TSR Awards to Kamna Jethmalani, Saloni and Nikisha Patel. Veteran actresses Vanisri and Sarada, actors Brahmanandam, Ali and Lakshman Rao, noted writer Paruchuri Gopala Krishna were also felicitated on the occasion.
Ministers Thota Narasimham and Pinipe Viswaroop inaugurated T Subbarami Reddy Lalitha Kala Parishat Rajahmundry Zone. Subbarami Reddy said the Kala Parishat was striving to promote arts in a big way. It is constructing an AC auditorium in Rajahmundry. The auditorium will be used for organising art and cultural programmes only on a nominal rent, he said.
