Its Fashionable to Target Aamir: Ram Sampath

Mumbai, Jun 6 (PTI) Dismissing the remarks of 'Ra. One' director Anubhav Sinha as a ploy to gain cheap publicity, Ram Sampath, the composer-singer of the song 'DK Bose' from Aamir Khan's forthcoming project 'Delhi Belly', says it is "fashionable" to target Aamir.

Anubhav had expressed his dissapointment with the song's lyrics, saying that he would not want his nine-year-old son singing 'DK Bose'.

But Ram prefers to call the song an anthem for underdogs.

"Its a known fact that Aamir makes socially relevant films... it seems it has become fashionable to target him. It is 100 per cent cheap publicity. I don't know why he (Sinha) had to resort to such a thing," he told PTI.

"We have Censor Board, which is mature and independent enough to take a call on it.
