Udupi: Drug peddler arrested; ganja, MDMA, mobile phone, scooter, cash seized

Udupi, Feb 22: Devaraj T V, police inspector of Manipal police station accompanied by police staff, arrested upon receiving definite information and obtaining permission from SP, Iqbal Shaikh (32), a resident of Kornagrapady, Udupi selling drug and ganja on a scooter near Manipal RTO on February 21.

As much as 136 grams ganja, 0.36 grams MDMA in plastic covers, a mobile phone, a Wi-Fi router, a scooter and cash were confiscated from him.

The total value of confiscated goods was approximately Rs 44,700. A police case is registered at Manipal police station in this connection.

    Last week one of the top cop gave a relaxing statement Udupi Manipal have become drug free place. In fact it is a place you get numerous drugs easily without fear law has gone action less.
