Bengaluru, Feb 22: “Deputy leader of the opposition, U T Khader during the zero hour raised a question that he was astonished that how innocent people in the society are being fooled.

He said, “Vikram Datta and another retired military officer were reportedly deceived with the promise of receiving a land from the government for their service in defence.

“A person named Abdul Razak approached this army officer assuring him to provide a government land for his service. The person took Rs 60-70 lac from him. Moreover, this person handed him an order copy with gazette notification and the signature of the top official of the revenue department of Karnataka government. When the army officer visited the area, there was no land allotted to soldiers.

“I am surprised to see that the person who cheated the military officer has taken a photo along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is known as Abdul Razak. From three years, the army officer is demanding his money. The person who is accused of cheating is in touch with all high-profile leaders,” Khader said.

Meanwhile, speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri asked if the army officer has not filed a complaint with the police. Khader said, "The army officer is not sure if he will he get his money back. He had given Abdul Razak three years of time to return his money. Now he is in a helpless condition. He is approaching us.”
