Udupi: 20 cases registered under Cotpa Act in a day in the district

Udupi, Feb 27: The district tobacco control investigating team raided Padubidri and areas under the Industrial area Nandikoor, tobacco selling shops, hotels, bars and restaurants today and slapped 20 cases on them under section 4 and 6 (a ).

Taluk health officer Dr Vasudeva Upadhyaya, senior health inspector Devappa Patagar, labour department inspector Vijendra K, social activist from national tobacco control unit, Shaila Shamanoor, district physical education officer Gopala Shetty and others were present.
