Bantwal: MLA Rajesh Naik presides over mass health camp

Bantwal, Feb 27: MLA Rajesh Naik presided over a mass health camp held at Punjalkatte primary health centre premises under the aegis of Punjalkatte Swastik Friends club on Sunday, February 26. He said that Bantwal taluk hospital is well equipped under the guidance and cooperation of A J Hospital head Dr Prashanth Marla.

“Nearly Rs 2,000 crore worth of development works were implemented during my term as a MLA. I am satisfied that there was harmony in Bantwal.  Punjalkatte primary health centre has been upgraded at a cost of Rs 12.40 crore as a community health centre under the cooperation of the chief minister and health minister. The tender process is over and the health minister will lay the foundation in a week,” he said.

Mangaluru A J Hospital management officer Dr Prashanth Marla inaugurated the health camp.

District medical officer Dr Kishore Kumar, Bantwal taluk health officer Ashok Kumar Rai and local dignitaries were present.

Punjalkatte Swastik Friends club founder president M Tungapa Bangera gave an introductory address. Expert doctors including general physicians, nephrologist, paediatrician, gynaecologist, bone specialist, eye specialist, dentist and other specialists took part in the camp.

P M Prabhaker welcomed, compered the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.
