Mangaluru: Entrepreneur dies of cardiac arrest after participating in tug-of-war competition

Mangaluru, Feb 28: A real estate entrepreneur, who took part in the tug-of-war competition which was organized by Jeppu Bunts’ Association, died of cardiac arrest immediately after the competition was over.

The deceased is identified as Kushalanatha Shetty (50), a member of executive committee of the association.

Kushalanatha Shetty was in the team that won the tug-of-war competition. He developed chest pain immediately after the competition was over. As he started vomiting, he was taken to hospital but he succumbed.

Kushalanatha is survived by wife, a son and daughter.

    Very sad. It is very important and must to have physical activities everyday. At least walking or jogging. Body needs to be active and flexible. Secondly, to play in any sport specially tug of war which requires you to shell out your entire stamina, one need to do proper warm up exercises before performing it. RIP

    People must understand that our body needs proper training before undergoing sports activities. Body requires certain warm up before doing intensive physical activity even though one who trained for years. We have been seeing lots of such cases due to unawareness of few sports tips and trainings. I am myself marathon runner for past 10 years but still learning from mistakes. No age limit for any physical activity, only need proper training and training only.

    So many youngsters and middle aged people dying spontaneously is an adverse drug reaction of the jab, sudden blood clotting.

    We have lots to say about covid vaccine and all that. But people commenting here, how well do you know this person? Has he been doing regular health checkups? Was he having high Cholestrol, Blood Pressure that went unchecked? Was he havig blockage in his heart? Until we have answers to these questions lets stop blaming on things that we have hardly any idea of.

    Then thats called fate. So you mean people who died due to earthquake also need to blame covid vaccine? Grow up man. If you dont know the person, dont simply blame something randomly. Health history is very important to come to a conclusion about a person's death

Your opinion is like: If a person gets cured of some deadly ailment, then everybody's prayer was heard; if he succumbs, then it was God's wish!!

    Well you havent answered my question as well. Isnt it? How well do you know this person or Puneeth Rajkumar or any other athlete who has died in similar circumstances. We only read died of cardiac arrest. So after 2020, anyone who dies of cardiac arrest is only due to covid vaccine? I think you can win Nobel Prize for this research and all the other researchers can go home. Because they take so many years to study and research the cause and treatment of a specific ailment but you did it by reading some whatsapp msgs and some articles. Let me tell you about myself, I am a diabetic, have blood pressure, cholestrol, liver ailment and high palpitations due to anxiety. What did I do? I controlled my diet, brought the sugar and cholestrol levels within the good limit, did a heart scan to see any blockages and possibility of heart attack, and taking medicines on time. Have lived with these for past 25+ years. Its not best doctor its a good doctor and I have complete faith in my doctor. And I have taken my covid medicine. If people do regular checkups then definetely their lifespan will increase. Quality of life and food is important. Many people dont go to doctor until and unless they cant tolerate a pain but never go for yearly checkups. Hope I answered your question. Now answer mine. Do you know him personally. If not , the discussion is closed from my side as there is no point arguing with a person who goes on assumptions.

    Many such cases are coming to light, but civil society and govt is sleeping. Covid now gone, is this anything to do with vaccines? Nobody is telling anything, nobody trying to find root cause.

    ca girishkk,valencia ,we shouldnt put everything on vaccine.Many people take part in such sports all of a sudden without practicing any other sportive activities .Here in Germany they have started to make investigations about aftereffect of Covid infect.Many people who were sick with covid are not yet fit to work ,having fatigue,means tiredness ,not able to work .loss of memory or loss of weight etc. Someone must care for them .Covid has left us back many black marks on our life.Covid itself is gone .But hardly any effects of vaccination I know.Here and there may be one or two.

    There were many such cases got reported in our neighboring state of Kerala & TN..., though a very popular contest during festive occation among tuluvas of coastal belt of Karnataka.., it is not advisable... those who are physically hard working in day in and day out must only be allowed to participated.. not to those who are office based persons(entrepreneurs)..., very sad one young energitic life is lost...Om shanti.., As a precaution Organizers & the Medical professionals at site must warn and educate the participants about these kind of side effects.
