Mumbai, Jul 14: Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter is once again in the spotlight – not for his recent series The Royals or his high-fashion appearance at the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring-Summer 2026 Show – but for something far chillier.

The Dhadak star recently took to Instagram to share a spine-chilling video of himself undergoing whole-body cryotherapy — shirtless — in a chamber cooled to a staggering -120°C. Wearing just a beanie, gloves, and a face mask, Ishaan spent six minutes inside the transparent cryo-chamber located at sister-in-law Mira Kapoor’s newly launched wellness centre.

Whole-body cryotherapy, a trending recovery and wellness treatment, involves short bursts of extreme cold to stimulate physical healing. Typically lasting 2–4 minutes, the therapy is believed to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and aid muscle recovery. It is widely used by athletes and health enthusiasts.

In his post, Ishaan appeared calm and composed despite the freezing conditions, impressing his followers and fitness fans alike. He described the experience as “invigorating,” and hinted at making it a regular part of his wellness routine.

Experts note that cryotherapy offers a host of potential health benefits:

• Relief from migraine and arthritic pain
• Reduced inflammation and chronic pain
• Improved muscle recovery post-exercise
• Healthier skin and reduced dermatitis symptoms
• Potential boost in immunity and mental clarity

However, health professionals caution that it’s not suitable for everyone. Side effects like numbness, skin irritation, and tingling can occur, and individuals should consult a doctor before trying the treatment.

With this icy plunge, Ishaan Khatter not only set fitness goals but also drew attention to the growing interest in alternative therapies among Bollywood celebrities.
