Bantwal, Feb 28: On February 28, Minister of Urban Development Bhairathi Basavaraj visited the jackwell constructed at Aladi to discuss the confusion surrounding the pipeline that supplies drinking water to Mangaluru and Bantwal villages. During the visit, the minister held discussions with officials and gram panchayat members.

To address the immediate water shortage, the minister directed officials to obtain water from the Bahugrama drinking water project. Following their visit to the jackwell, the minister and the MLA also inspected the purification unit constructed at Mudipu.

The meeting was attended by gram panchayat president Sabina, Srikanth Shetty Sajipa, Santhosh Shetty Dalandila, executive engineer Chandrashekar of the Karnataka Water Supply and Drainage Board, assistant engineer Shobhalakshmi, AEE G K Naik, assistant engineer Jagadish Nimbalkar, E O Rajanna, Sajipa Munnoor PDO Lakshman, Sajipa Muda PDO Maya Kumari, and revenue inspector Swathi, among others.
