Bantwal: Congress candidate Shashikala emerges victorious in Anantadi by-election

Bantwal, Feb 28: The votes for the by-elections held on February 25 for one seat each at Anantadi and Netla Mudnoor gram panchayat were counted on Tuesday, February 28 at Bantwal Adalita Saudha.

Congress candidate Shashikala Harinakshi emerged victorious at Anantadi, while BJP candidate Sujatha Jagadish won in Netla Mudnoor.

Out of 667 votes cast at Anantadi, 254 went to the Congress candidate and 242 to the BJP candidate. Four votes were rejected.

Meanwhile, out of 816 voters in Netla Mudnoor gram panchayat, 596 cast their votes, with BJP candidate Sujatha Jagadish Poojary receiving 353 votes and Congress candidate Harinakshi receiving 239 votes. Four votes were rejected.
