Udupi: Govt gave gift of price hike on first day of month itself – Ramesh Kanchan

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (EP)

Udupi, Mar 1: “The government has given the gift on the first day of the month raising the price of gas cylinders for residential use,” said Ramesh Kanchan, president of Udupi block Congress committee in anguish.

“The people of the country who are devastated by the price rises are devastated all the more by the anti-people policies of the Modi government. The BJP government which always stands by the businessmen has never helped the poor and medium class people. They have spoken lies that the prices of oil and crude oil in the international market have gone up every time they raise any prices. The greed of the Modi government is the only cause of the price rises,” he said.

“The price of cooking gas for residential use has already crossed Rs 1,000 per cylinder. Who else other than the government should think of the poor? How can a government which does not come to the rescue of people be pro people? The governments at the centre and the state have thrust more problems on the ordinary people. The government should wake up at least now and allow people to live in peace. Meanwhile people should understand the anti-people policies of the government and teach them a lesson,” said Ramesh Kanchan in a press release.
