Bantwal: Former minister B Ramanath Rai inaugurates bus stand constructed by Congress party

Bantwal, Mar 1: A bus stand constructed at Ramanagar, B C Road – Punjalkatte national highway by Congress party, Pialatabettu zone was inaugurated by former minister B Ramanath Rai on Wednesday, March 1.

Speaking in the hall programme later he said that he worked sincerely for the all-round growth of Bantwal by obtaining more than Rs 5,000 crore package during the term of Siddaramaiah government. “I was defeated by propaganda during the last elections. But the people here have decided to bring Congress to power. Construction of the bus stand by the Congress activists is commendable,” he said.

Meanwhile, BJP activists Lakshman Poojary Nakunadu, Sudhakar Poojary Nakunadu and Tulasi Dugamaragudde were welcomed to Congress by former minister Ramanath Rai with the Congress flag.

Block Congress president Baby Kunder, Sudeep Kumar Shetty, former Akrama Sakrama committee president Mayilappa Salian, former district panchayat’s Padmashekar Jain, Pilatabettu Congress supported panchayat members Pushpalatha Mohan Salian, Vanita Ananda, Leelavati Shetty, Sylvester Pinto, Congress block president Balaji Rao, ladies wing Congress president Benedicta D’ Souza, Pilatabettu rural development committee president Arun Fernandes, Booth congress president Purushotham Nakunadu, Vittal Shetty, Vasanth Hegde, Sudhaker Shenoy Khandige, Mohan Salian, Victor D’Souza, Ambrose Moras, Lawrence D’ Souza, Pramod, Karunaker Nakunadu and Narayana Poojary Nakunadu were present.
