Bihar Court's Warrant against Bhojpuri Film Actress


Motihari, Jun 15 (PTI) A local court has issued a bailable warrant of arrest against Bhojpuri Film actress Rani Chatterjee in a complaint case charging her with "committing fraud".

First Class Magistrate Niraj Kumar issued the warrant on June 4, 2011 following successive failure of the actress to comply with the summons issued on July 2, 2010 and May 5, 2011.

Vinod Kumar Priyadarshi, the complainant, has alleged that the actress had "breached an agreement and committed a fraud" by not turning up for shooting for a Bhojpuri film at Areraj in Motihari despite receiving the professional charge transferred through banks on different dates.

The court had on July 2, 2010 taken cognisance of complaint filed by Priyadarshi on January 2, 2010.
