15% pay hike for NHM contract employees from April 1: Sudhakar

Bengaluru, Mar 4: The contract employees in the health department will be given a 15% pay hike with effect from April 1, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr K Sudhakar announced here on Saturday.

The minister said the Health and Family Welfare Department has already issued
orders on increasing the pay and the increase will come into effect from April 1, he said.



The announcement is in response to the demands of the National Health Mission
workers working on a contract basis. "The government is very responsive to the demands of the workers,’’ the minister said.
