Puttur: Two absconding warrant accused arrested by police

Puttur, Mar 9: Puttur traffic police arrested an accused who was not attending court hearing for the past five years in connection with an accident case that occurred at Daddalpalke of Kaukradi.

Murthy, native of Kunigal is the arrested accused. He was a bus driver and the bus he was driving had hit an auto rickshaw in May 2014 at Daddalpalke. Police arrested Murthy from Hoskote of Bengaluru and produced in court.

In the second case, police arrested Pavan, resident of Tenkila in connection with assault on ASI and absconding without attending court hearing.

A case was registered in 2022 against Pavan accusing him of assaulting an ASI of Puttur city police station. He was the second accused. City police arrested Pavan and produced in court. He is remanded to judicial custody.
