Mangaluru, Mar 9: A case is filed in women police station, in which a woman, working as secretary to Bishop in the Balmatta CSI KSD Sabha provincial office, has accused six people of sexual harassment and threat on life.
In the complaint filed with the police, the victim woman said, “Treasurer Vincent Palanna has tortured me physically and mentally for the past four years and tried to remove me from my job. He has outraged my modesty and scared me saying that I have an illicit relationship with others.
“On August 19, 2022, legal advisor Fr Noel Karkada also outraged my modesty and forced me to watch pornography videos on mobile. Store keeper Manohar Ammanna and car driver of bishop, Karunakar Kundar followed me and abused me with profanity. Sr Sujatha and secretary William Keri also have used profanity against me.
“As the accused are powerful people, I did not file a complaint till now,” she said.
Case under IPC column 354, 354a, 354d, 504, 506 and 34 is registered against the accused.
