Bantwal, March 10: The 14-day long Prajadhwani rally in Bantwal by Congress party under the leadership of former minister B Ramanath Rai was set in motion on Friday morning by district Congress president and member of Vidhana Parishat Harish Kumar at Panchame here after prayers at the Venkataramana temple, Agrar church and Juma Masjid.

Harish Kumar said BJP has provided opportunities for corruption to flourish at each stage and people are unable to live with the skyrocketing prices.

“BJP is a government of lies and is cheating people systematically. While Congress worked for development during its term, BJP worked for commission. Congress will provide facilities as mentioned in the guarantee card if it comes to power. Ramanath Rai should be elected MLA for the welfare of people this time,” he said.

Ramanath Rai said that it is necessary to compare the work done during the term of BJP with that of Congress. "BJP is misleading people", he said.

Local Congress leaders were present. Kariangala grama panchayat president Chandrahasa Pallipady welcomed. Mani grama panchayat president Kodaje Balakrishna Alva compered the programme.
