Free drinking water facility by Jos Alukkas, Udupi District Nagarika Samithi inaugurated

Udupi, Apr 6: Free drinking water facility donated by Jos Alukkas and Udupi District Nagarika Samithi was inaugurated on April 4, in Maruthi Veethika, Udupi.

Uday Kumar, owner of Popular Paints inaugurated the initiative by cutting the ribbon.

Rajesh N R, manager of Jos Alukkas Udupi and staff were present on the occasion.

Speaking about this initiative Nithyananada Volakadu said “As we noticed many people fall ill from rising temperature and will be admitted in nearby hospitals, the drinking water facility helps children and old people to overcome heat. Water is kept in mud pots and jaggery is given along with it to overcome thirst. The water facility will be available everyday. The facility is also free of cost."
