Udupi: Prohibition on vehicular traffic on Balebare Ghat extended till April 15

Udupi, Apr 4: In the wake of concrete pavement work on Balebare Ghat on state highway 52 between Kundapur and Theerthahalli, vehicle prohibition is extended by another 10 days by the order of the deputy commissioner.

Earlier, vehicular traffic on the ghat was prohibited till April 5, now the same is extended till April 15. Commuters are asked to take alternative route.

Light vehicles moving from Theerthahalli to Kundapur should take Theerthahalli-Halady-Basrur-Kundapur route, while heavy vehicles should traverse through Theerthahalli-Hebri-Udupi-Kundapur route.

Vehicles moving to Theerthahalli-Yadoor-Hulikal-Kundapur should take Theerthahalli-Yadoor-Masthikatte-Nagara-Kollur-Kundapur route. Only light goods vehicles are allowed to move on Hosanagara-Nagara-Kollour-Kundapur road. Multi axle heavy vehicles are prohibited.
