Udupi, May 5: Yashpal Suvarna, the BJP candidate for the Udupi Vidhan Sabha constituency, led a massive foot rally in Malpe on Friday as part of his campaign for votes.
During the rally, Suvarna pledged to develop the Malpe fisheries port and generate employment opportunities for 10,000 young people in the area.
Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat urged the fishing community to support Suvarna, who belongs to their community.
The rally was attended by several BJP leaders, including Harikrishna Bantwal, Anil Antony (son of former defense minister K Antony), Pramod Madhwaraj (former minister), Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Udupi BJP district president Kuilady Suresh Nayak, city BJP president Mahesh Takur, Bykady Suprasad Shetty, B N Shanker Poojary, media spokesperson Raghavendra Kini, and others.
