Mangaluru, May 6: Antarrashtriya Samskritika Saurabh Parishat and Manjunath Education trust held 38th international cultural symposium on Abbakka Cruise ship here on May 1. Mrs India Classic Runner up award recipient, Mumbai based Prabha N P Suvarna inaugurated the programme.

ICFCI president engineer K P Manjunath Sagar said that messages of harmony, friendship and fraternity have been spread during their symposiums for the last 15 years.

Former convener of Tulu Koota, Shekabba Kote Hejmady said that the values that are taught by parents are priceless and remain with us throughout our lives. “The feeling of showing unity in diversity is great,” he said.

Mangaluru Fisheries college dean Dr S M Shivaprakash presided over the programme. Go Na Swamy, managing director of Swamy Enterprises, Bengaluru, retired Dy SP K S Krishnamurthy and psychiatrist Dr Gururaj Rao were on the dais. They handed over awards to special achievers in various sectors, Dr Vasanth Murali, Bengaluru, Prathiba Salian Mangaluru, Vaman Kudroli and Dr Sangeetha Holla.

Prathibha Salian, Prathiksha Prabhu and the group performed dances. Singers Go Na Swamy, Dr Shivaprakash, Shivaraj Pandeshwar, Chandrakanth and N Nagendra sang Kannada, Tulu and Hindi songs and entertained the gathering.
