Bantwal: Jewellery Shop Burgled, Gold Ornaments Worth Lacs Looted

Bantwal, Jul 15: Burglers broke into a  jewellery shop in Kalladka, here and decamped with gold ornaments worth a few lacs during the wee hours on Friday July 15.

The thieves broke open the shutter of G-Gold shop located in Singari Complex and looted three kgs jewellery which were displayed in the showcases.  The other gold ornaments and sovereigns that were placed in the safe lockers were intact, informed the sources.

SP Laburam and Puttur ASP Dr Rohini Katocha visited the spot. Circle inspector Vivekanand and other policemen are investigating the case. 

A canine squad and fingerprint experts have surveyed the spot for vital clues that would lead to the burglars.

Police sources informed that the CCTV installed at G-Gold recorded the burglary.  They are working on the pictures to nab the burglars soon.
