M'lore: Free Check-up Camp at A J Hospital to Mark Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Day

Mangalore, Jul 17: A J Hospital and Research Centre observed the Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Day by announcing free check up for all plastic surgery problems for two weeks starting from Friday July 15 till July 30.

Patients will be seen free of cost and surgeries will be conducted for all needy patients at highly concessional rates.

Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Day

The Association of Plastic Surgeons of India has decided to observe July 15 of every year as Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Day. The union Government has appreciated this move taken by the Association to increase the awareness of the spectrum of work done by plastic and reconstructive surgeons and also enable the members to reach out to the masses.

Plastic and Reconstructive surgery deals with correction of deformities varying from birth defects, post burn problems, hand injuries, deformities relating to trauma, cancer reconstruction, Cosmetic surgery is an extension of reconstructive surgery to improve the appearance of an individual.

Department of Plastic Cosmetic & Micro-vascular Surgery at A J Hospital

Established in 2004, the department is well-known in this region and has performed over 7,000 surgeries including micro-vascular surgery and costemic surgery under Dr Dinesh Kadam and Dr Sanath Bhandary.
