Udupi: Yakshagana Kalaranga Holds Annual General Body Meeting

Udupi, Jul 18: The 36th annual general body meeting of Yakshagana Kalaranga ® was held under the chairmanship of Tallur Shivaram Shetty at Poornaprajna mini hall here on Saturday July 16.


K Venugopal Bhat, H Sujayindra Hande, Harschandra Amin, Mohan Perdoor, Vidhyaprasad, Meti Mudiappa, Shankar Marate, and Nagaraj Hegde were the specially-invited guests present on the occasion.

Silent prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of Yakshagana Kalaranga honorary president B Jagajeevan Shetty, life members V R Kidiyoor, K Chandrahas Shenoy, Gunduraj Shetty, B R Shenoy, and P R Nayak who passed away since the last meeting held.

It was unanimously decided that K Rajaram Shetty will continue as auditor for another term.
The annual accounts and report was approved by the members present at the meeting.
An executive committee of 25 members were formed on the same occasion.

Tallur Shivaram Shetty (president), S V Bhat, K Ganesh Rao, and Gangadar M Rao (vice presidents), Murali Kadekar (secretary), Narayan M Hegde and H N Srangeshwar (joint secretaries), S Gopalakrishna (treasurer), B Narayan, Professor K Sadashiv Rao, P Kishan Hegde, U Upendra, S V Uday Kumar Shetty, M L Samaga, Pratviraj Kavattar, A Nagabhushan Bhat, K S Subramanya Basri, K Gopal, K Ajit Kumar, Ganesh Brahmavar, Rajesh Navada, Prakaschandra Shetty, Rajeevi Pangala, H N Venkatesh and Kishore C Udyavar (committee members) form the committee.
